How to invite someone to a video meeting with Google meet

There are several ways you can invite someone to a meeting with GM (Google Meet login)

One option

Use Google Calendar to start off by creating the meeting like normal filling in all the details, be sure to click the add conferencing option to add.

The Hangouts Meet to the event than over in the guests’ section fill in the names or email addresses of the people you want to invite to the GM (Google Meet login).

When done, click on the Save button and Google (Google Meet login) will send out emails to the guests with the connection information.

Inviting people to the article conference is from inside GM (Google Meet login) itself. First, start the meeting as normal either by clicking on an existing meeting or creating a new one.

Now, you can click on the people button up in the top right-hand corner and then click add people here. You can enter the name or email address of the folks that you want to invite to the meeting.

Click on send invite to send them an email with connection information.  If you don’t want to send an email. You can also click on the meeting (Google Meet login) details down in the bottom left-hand corner and then click copy joining information also.

 If you gave the video meeting a nickname when you created it. You can give that nickname to people and they can simply type that in when joining the meet instead of using the link (Google Meet login).

However, this nickname can only be used by people within your school and not by people outside of your school domain (Google Meet login).

You can then paste that information into a Google Doc or into a text or whatever method you would like to send it out to someone else.

So that they can join your GM (Google Meet login).

Another good way to share the link would be through Google classroom (Google Meet login) you can copy the link and then in Google (Google Meet login) classroom, you could post it in the stream or on your classwork page.

 For example

Let’s add it to the stream, we’ll put in a description and then click the Add button and add the link in (Google Meet login). we’ll simply paste in the link. We copied and add that link.

 We can now post this to the stream and all the students in the class will be able to click that link to join the Google meet (Google Meet login).

Now, do keep in mind depending upon the settings for your school when someone does join your Video call.

 You may need to click a button to approve them and allow them to join especially if they’re not a member of your school domain (Google Meet login).

Now, after people have joined your hangouts meet you can remove someone from the call if needed to do that click on the little people icon in the top right-hand corner.

Find the person who needs to be removed (download Google meet app). Click on the little down arrow to the right of their name and then click on the remove button this will remove that person from the call.

We will assume, you are already in the video meeting and will review (download google meet app) the main features.

you can click on the little down arrow and you can pin them mute them or even remove them from the meeting (download google meet app).

Now, do note in schools only the creator of the meeting can mute and remove others so that a student would not be able to mute or remove the teacher in the same panel (download google meet app).

You will find the add people link which will allow you to send an email invitation to invite other people to join your meeting in the same right corner you’ll find the icon to open the chat window (download google meet app).

Here participants can text chat with the group during the meeting including sending helpful links (download google meet app) chatting can be a good way to share information or to ask to speak without interrupting the current speaker.

Next in the bottom right-hand corner, you will find the three dots menu where you’ll find additional options (download GM app).

Here you’ll see the settings option where you can select and control your microphone your speakers and your web camera (download google meet app).

The three dots menu also has an option to use your phone for audio during the meeting this can be useful in a classroom (google meet app download for pc) setting where the phone can be passed around like a microphone.

So that each student can speak and be heard next to the three dots button in the present(download google meet app) . Now, the button which allows you to show your screen or just an individual window to your participants can be a powerful (download google meet app) way to give a slideshow presentation review a document explores a website works out a math problem using a whiteboard website or more.

Simply, click the button and then choose if you want to share your entire desktop or just one particular window.

Finally, in the middle bottom, you will find buttons to turn your mic on or off to turn your video off or back on and also to leave the meeting (download google meet app).

if you’re using GM (google meet app download for pc) through the mobile app on an iPhone or Android phone or a tablet you can have access to pretty much all the same features.

They’ll just be located in different spots.

 For example

Across the top, we see the button to control our settings for our speakers and our headphones (Google Meet login). we also see the button to turn closed captioning on or off.

How to Record a Google Meet

How to record your video conference when using GM (Gm app download for pc)?

so the first thing to mention is that the ability to record a GM (Gm app download for pc) video conference is part of the enterprise version of G suite and it may not be available for your Google account.

However, at the time of this recording, Google (GM app download for pc) has made this premium feature available to schools for free because of the COVID 19 situation the fact that many educators have to teach remotely.

Next, we also need to mention that this feature is something that your technology people need to turn on in the G Suite (GM app download for pc) admin console.

 This option is found under the GM (Gm app download for pc) settings in the section on the recording. this is where your tech administrators can enable or disable the ability to record a GM.

Now, assuming that your school has access to this feature and that it has been turned on for you.

Here are the directions for recording a GM (GM app download for pc) first start up a Google meet, as usual, be sure to read the other articles in this series for all the details.

On how to start a meet invite people to the meet and the basic features of using Google meet

Now you do not have to invite anyone else to the meet if you simply want to record yourself such as giving a presentation or teaching a lesson (GM app download for pc) for others to view later.

However, if you do have other people join you in the meet (Google Meet login) be sure to let them know that the meeting is going to be recorded.

When you’re ready to start recording just click the three dots button down in the bottom right corner and then choose record meetings (download GM app).

Next, click the accept button to begin and that’s it, the meeting is now recording. You can now conduct the meeting as normal using all of the features of GM (GM app download for pc).

Such as presenting your screen to show a slideshow or such now keep in mind what is being recorded is whoever is currently speaking or whatever is being presented not necessarily what you see on your screen.

Now, when you’re ready to end the recording just click the three dots button again (GM login) and choose stop recording and then click stop recording once more to verify (Google Meet login).

GM If you want to start recording again you can start and stop recording as many times in the meeting (download GM app) as you like but it will save each recording as a separate video.

The recording will now be saved to your Google (GM app download for pc) Drive in a folder called meet recordings. it will take a little while for the recording to show up here as Google does need to process the video first.

So if you do not see the video right away check back a little later you will also receive an email with the link to access and play the video also (Gm login).

If you created the meet through Google (GM app download for pc) Calendar then a link to the recording will be added to the calendar event so that anyone who is invited to the event will also have access to the link of the recorded video.

 If you use Google (GM app download for pc) classroom. It is super easy to share the recorded video with your class just go to the classroom and then start a new post in the stream or on the classwork page.

Such as an assignment or a material in this case we’ll post a new post to the stream. We’ll click in the stream to start our post and then we’ll click the ‘Add’ button below the post and choose Google Drive (Gm app download for pc).

Because that’s where the videos are being saved from GM (Gm app download for pc). Now, you should see your video in the recent files but if not you can choose my drive and then open the folder called meet recordings to locate the video from your GM (GM app download for pc).

Select the video and click Add and then finally click the post button.  Now your students will have access to view the video in Google (GM app download for pc) classroom in addition to Google (GM app download for pc) classroom.

 There are many other ways to share your video one of the easiest ways to do this is to share the video from your Google (GM app download for pc) Drive.

Just like you would share a regular Google (Gm app download for pc) Doc go to your Drive go to the meet recordings folder and locate the video.

You can now right-click on the video and choose share or you can simply select the video and then go up to the sharing button in the top menu bar.

You can now share the video with specific people by putting their email address or a Google (Gm app download for pc) group email address into the people box or if you want anyone to be able to view the video then click get a shareable link.

This will create a link that you can copy and then give to anyone in your school or organization that will allow them to watch the video. Now, if you want people outside of your school to be able to see the video (download GM app).

Click on the drop-down menu and choose more you can now select the option for anyone with the link and then click ‘Save’.

Now, you can copy the link and provide it to anyone in the world and they will be able to watch the video (Google Meet login).

You can now take the copied link and share it in many ways including in a Google (google meet app download for pc) Doc or through email on your blog or website on social media in Google classroom with a URL shortener like tinny with a QR code or many more options.

Finally, if you want you can also download a copy of the video to your computer by right-clicking on the video (Google Meet login) and choosing download or by selecting the video going up to the three dots button in Google (google meet app download for pc) Drive and choosing download.
